Nella piccola borgata marinara di San Nicola l’Arena si erge un castello. Esso fu edificato vicino al mare per volere della famiglia Crispo al fine di difendere il territorio intorno il XII secolo. La torre dalla forma cilindrica si trova al centro della corte, arricchita da una terrazza finale e contenente, all’interno, tre sale circolari, comunicanti grazie ad una scala. Si notano inoltre tre torri più piccole, collegate da una terrazza usata per il giro delle sentinelle ed attrezzata con l’artiglieria composta da sette cannoni. Attualmente il castello è utilizzato per trattenimenti nuziali e spettacoli vari.

A castle rises over the small fishing village of San Nicola l’Arena. It was purposefully built overlooking the sea by the Crispo family to defend the surrounding territory around the 12th century. Its cylindrically shaped tower stands over the centre of the courtyard, embellished by a terrace and containing three circular halls, adjoined by a stairwell. Three smaller towers are connected by a terrace once employed by the sentries for their rounds and holding a battery of seven canons. The castle is currently used for wedding parties and various shows.

Un château se dresse dans le petit bourg marin de San Nicola l’Arena. Il fut édifié près de la mer, vers le XIIème siècle, selon les volontés de la famille Crispo, afin de défendre le territoire. La tour, de forme cylindrique, se trouve au centre de la cour. Elle se termine par une terrasse et compte trois salles circulaires, qui communiquent par un escalier. Vous remarquerez également trois tours plus petites, reliées par une terrasse utilisée pour le tour des sentinelles et dotée d’une artillerie comptant sept canons. Le château est actuellement utilisé pour des mariages et des spectacles divers.
Sehenswürdigkeit Nr. 2
In der kleinen Seeortschaft San Nicola l’Arena steht eine Burg. Sie wurde zur Verteidigung des umliegenden Gebietes um das 12. Jahrhundert von der Familie Crispo errichtet. Der Turm ist zylinderförmig, steht mit einer angebauten Terrasse mitten im Burghof und beherbergt in seinem Inneren drei kreisrunde Säle, die durch eine Treppe verbunden sind. Daneben sieht man noch drei kleinere Türme, die durch eine Terrasse verbunden sind, die mit einer aus sieben Kanonen bestehenden Artillerie bestückt ist und von den Wächtern für ihre Runden benutzt wurde. Zurzeit wird die Burg für Hochzeitsfeiern und andere Events genutzt.

Un castillo se encuentra en el pequeño pueblo costero de San Nicola l’Arena. Fue construido cerca del mar a instancias de la familia Crispo para defender el territorio alrededor del siglo XII. La torre cilíndrica se sitúa en el centro del patio, enriquecida por una terraza final y que contiene, en su interior, tres estancias circulares, comunicadas gracias a una escalera. También se pueden ver tres torres más pequeñas, conectadas por una terraza utilizada como guardia y equipada con una artillería compuesta por siete cañones. Actualmente el castillo se utiliza para recepciones de bodas y diversos espectáculos.
